While fissures are small tears within the rectum, the later are masses of tissue (vascular) that protrude from within the rectum. The patient can experience back pain when the rectum and the bowel become inflamed cramped and irritated. It is also experienced if the person tends to strain the muscle resulting from the discomfort that is there.

The treatment of the symptom naturally varies according to the cause behind it. Firstly, the course of treatment stresses on the lost blood replenishment. The condition may cause shock or the patient may suffer from anemia. So, those are then treated. After the patient reaches a stable condition, then the underlying cause is diagnosed and treated.
