A person’s health is the condition of their body and the extent to which it is free from illness or is able to resist illness. Someone is called child when he/she is standing between the stages of birth and adolescence. That is during the period of teenage. In this period, the teenage may face various health problems. And their parents should take care of his/her health at that time.

A very common disease seen in many children is conjunctivitis. Conjunctivitis is an eye infection which causes the thin skin that covers the eye to become pink. This is usually caused mainly due to bacterial or viral infection or sometimes due to allergic reactions. The symptoms of this disease is continuous irritation, blood red coloured eye, increment of normal tearing, blurred vision and sometimes eye pain also occur.

Coming to the treatment part, it is necessary to know what the cause of the disease at first; that is whether it is caused by any bacterial or viral infection, or due to allergic conditions. If the cause is bacterial and viral infection then continuous washing of eyes by water is suggested, this will help to wash-off the infectious bacteria, virus. Antibiotic eye drops can also be applied. And if the cause is due to allergic reaction, then the first motto will be the removal of allergens by medications; else the pink eye will stay for long time.

During this time, no eye cosmetics should be applied and use a towel or handkerchief to clean the gooey flow of liquid that comes out of the eye naturally.
